The Training Centre

The Training Centre is an underground gymnasium filled with training stations and obstacle courses is where the tributes prepare and practice for the challenges in the arena. The training stations spaced throughout the center are based on different skills that may be useful in the arena, which includes knot tying, identifying edible plants and insects, camouflage, and practicing with weapons. Experts are placed at each station to instruct and serve as training partners to the tributes, as they are forbidden to fight each other before the Games begin.
The clothing each tribute wears is determined by their stylist, although each has a cloth square with their district number pinned to their shirt.

Tributes attend training three days in a row. It starts at 10:00 each morning. Once they are all assembled, Someone explains the different centers. The tributes are told not to ignore survival skills because they are just as important as the weapon stations. The trainees are reminded that they cannot fight with each other before the Games, but, if they want to spar, they can request an assistant to practice with a trainer. Afterwards, all the tributes eat lunch together in a dining room attached to the gym. Alliances can be formed during this time after the tributes have seen each other's abilities in training and have a chance to talk.

Raff walked in purposefully, and strode over to the weaponry rack.
Ivo wandered in awkwardly, glad to be free of the cow costume.
Fir moved over to the identifying edible plants and insects area.
Velvet looked utterly bored until she spied the axes in the corner. She ran over swiftly.
Silver tried to give an air of confidence as she stepped carefully over to the knot tying station.
Kat sidled in nervously, biting her nails she clung to the wall.

Zach looked in cautiously and hurried over to Silver.
Halo strode confidently over to the sword rack, flickinng through the blades until he found one of the right weight and length.
Scorpius sauntered in and picked up a mace, giving Velvet an evil stare, as if to say, you'll be next...
Ashlynn walked in, looked around, then headed over to where Silver was, Alicia not far behind.
Allie crept in and ran over to the edible plants station.

Tanzee spotted Fir and went over to join him.
Clover debated whether to go to the identifying edible plant and insects but decided she should do something she wasn't so good at. She moved over to a bow and arrow that seemed about the right size for her, giving Ivo a cheery smile.
Hibis, regretting the fact that tributes were not allowed to harm each other yet, moved as far away from Raff as possible (the knot-tying station), playing up the innocent pathetic girl act.
Zedo looked around anxiously before wandering over to the camouflage station.
Kestrel moved over to the weapon rack and began to uncertainly pick out a weapon.
Yarro strode over to the weapons and picked out a trident, looking totally relaxed.

Halo called over an assistant to spar with him, filling the air around them with the sounds of clashing metal.
Scorpius seemed content with fighting three assistants, a mace in one hand, axe in the other.
Ashlynn cautiously waved at Alicia, Silver and Zach. "Ashlynn. 12." she gestured to the piece of cloth that demonstrated her district. Zach blinked and dipped his head to acknowledge her arrival. Alicia waved back, replying, "Alicia, 6."
Allie quickly worked through the edible plants and insects before moving over to the camouflage, stopping dead when she saw someone already there.

Zedo smiled shyly at Allie, then looked back at what he was doing.
Clover carefully notched an arrow, aimed then let it fly, shrugging as it hit the outer yellow ring. Not amazing, but not bad.
Hibis deliberately messed up the knot, making a mental note of the correct way.
Kestrel picked out an axe and gestured for an assistant to come and teach him how to use it.
Yarro politely asked an assistant to spar with him.

Allie smiled shyly back, then padded over to join him.

"Zedo Fargaze. District 8" he introduced himself softly.

Allie swallowed hard, then replied with, "Allie Kay, District 9."

"Hi Allie" Zedo smiled, returning to his attempt to camouflage the dummy in front of him.

Allie tapped him shyly on the shoulder, then dipped her petite fingers into the camouflage paint, swirling it carefully on the torso.

Zedo looked at Allie. "You're really good at this." He carefully imitated what she was doing with significantly better results than before.

Allie blushed. "Thank you." She began to swirl the paint on her own skin, imitating the pattern on a tree nearby.

Raff ignored Halo, and picked up the biggest sword he could find.
Fir smiled shyly at Tanzee, and took her hand.
Ivo stood uncertainly, loitering near the camouflage area.
Velvet threw the axe with a huge force into a practice target.
Silver smiled at Zach, Alicia and Ashylnn. "Silver Perthshire, District 5." She pointed to the number on her front.
Kat spied the camouflage and moved over eagerly.

Zedo also started to cover his own skin with paint, surprisingly beginning to enjoy himself.
Tanzee smiled up at him. "What are we doing then?"

Kat moved beside him silently, picking up some paints.
"Shall we have a look at the plant lists?" Fir suggested.

Halo quirked an eyebrow but didn't say anything to Raff as he began to spar with an assistant.
Zach quietly demonstrated multiple knots, his fingers moving quickly and showing the trainer, who nodded.
Allie caught sight of the newcomer and hid behind the tree, her slim frame allowing her to be obscured completely.

Raff yelled to another assistant and began to spar as well.
Silver smiled, and picked up a length of rope, attempting to copy him.
Kat smeared the paint on her arm, creating a rock like pattern.

Tanzee nodded. "Okay"
Zedo looked up and nodded in the direction of the newcomer.

"So, knots..." Alicia trailed off as she saw the intricate ties Zach had already created and laid aside. "Woah."
"Yeah..." Ashlynn agreed.

Silver grinned. "This is Zach. Also form District 5. Master of logic, hopeless with any form of wit or jokes, and nice is foreign to his little nature."
Fir picked up a lisrt of plants that are edible and started reading it aloud, showing Tanzee each drawing to accompany each type of plant.
Kat smiled shyly at Zedo, and waved a tiny wave to Allie behind the tree.
Velvet retreived the axe, and walked over to where Halo was sparring. She watched him with plain admiration.
Raff continued to attack the assisstant with the huge sword he had chosen.
Ivo moved on from the knot tying station and picked up a list of animals.

Halo finished sparring and bowed to his audience.
Allie peeped out from behind her tree.
Zach looked up from his knots and blinked.
Scorpius continued to beat up the assistants.

"Wow," said the "audience", simply.
Kat smiled shyly at Allie. "I'm Katri."
Silver giggled. "See?" she smiled at Alicia and Ashlynn.

Halo inclined his head, "Thank you."
Allie blinked, then whispered, "Allie."
Alicia and Ashlynn nodded, "Yeah..."
Zach cocked his head.

"My turn," Velvet grinned, picking up another, larger axe, wielding it over her head like it was a plastic toy, and throwing it into a wall so hard it vibrated.
Kat smiled, "you're really good at camouflage," she murmured shyly.
Silver grinned again. "What can you guys do?"
