The Training Centre

Halo applauded politely.
Allie blushed, "Thank you."
Alicia shrugged, "I'm a pretty fair pilot and at commanding other vessels, and I was a healer..." she stopped herself before she completed the sentence.

She retrieved the axe again, and dropped it on to a weaponry rack. "Velvet." She stuck out her hand.
"Do you know how to do a leaf pattern, like leaves on the ground?" Kat gabbled quickly.
"Awesome!" Silver exclaimed, "what's it like being able to fly?"

"Halo," he transferred the sword to his left hand and shook her hand.
Allie nodded shyly, then picked up some more paint and held out her hand for Kat's arm.
"It's amazing..." Alicia sighed.

Velvet shook it back harder. "Is it swords that you do then?" she asked, letting go.
Kat extended it. "It's Kat, by the way, to friends," she smiled at Allie.
"I wish I could fly," Silver grinned. "I do archery by the way."

"Swords are my speciality..." Halo nodded.
Alli bit her lip, concentrating, swirling the pattern.
"Yeah, I'm a bit useless." Alicia admitted.

"Cool," Velvet added, "I'm axes. District 7. Lumber. Obvious really."
Kat giggled, as the paint stirring motion tickled her arm.
"I'm sure you're not," Silver replied warmly, "anyway," she handed over some rope, "you never know, knot tying may be your thing!"

Halo nodded. "1, Luxury."
Allie finished and stood back. "Let it dry." she advised quietly.
Alicia shrugged, taking the rope, looking at it uncertainty. "Y'know, when we had History lessons at school, we had lessons on the old style of transportation. Guess what my group got lumbered with? Brown paper packages," she gestured to the rope, "tied up with string. I nearly strangled my best friend."

Velvet grunted. "I can't believe we're not allowed to go outside here," she grumbled, skillfully playing with another axe.
Kat nodded. "It's really good," she smiled.
Silver laughed. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" she asked.

Halo shrugged. "It doesn't make much difference to me."
"Thank you." Allie blushed.
"I have two younger brothers," Ashlynn put in, having been looking around the room, distracted.
"And I two younger sisters." Alicia added.

"How?" Velvet looked at him blankly, "I need to be outside."
Kat grinned. "Where are you from?"
"Oh what are their names?" asked Silver, smiling at both of them.

Halo shrugged.
"Nine." Allie whispered.
"Angelina and Katie." Alicia sighed.
"Tom and Chris." Ashlynn's face was identical to Alicia's.

Velvet just stared at him.
"Eleven," Kat tapped herself on the chest. "Agriculture. You?"
"Cool," Silver answered, "I have three little sisters."

Halo called over another sparring partner or two, picking up another sword so he had two.
"Grain." Allie blinked at her.
"What are their names?" Alicia smiled.
[Changed it]

"Can I join in?" asked Velvet.
Kat smiled, and swirled some more paint, making a foliage pattern on the edge of the table.
"Saria, who's five, Thalia, who's eight and Tressa who is eleven," Silver rattled off. "I'm looking forward to going home to them again. They're annoying but I miss them when they're not around."

Halo looked at the assistants, who shook their heads.
Allie watched, then crept up to Zedo.
Zach opened his mouth to say something logical, then decided against it.

Velvet scowled, and went to find another axe.
Kat watched her.
"What?" Silver turned to him.
(she has not got that they have got to fight to the death yet - no-one has told her)

Halo shrugged and began to fight the assistants.
Allie rose onto her toes and drew a small flower on Zedo's cheek.
"My statement was not wise to make." Zach blinked.

Velvet saw Scorpius near the axe rack and glared, going back to watch Halo.
Kat watched, wanting to join them.
"Why?" asked Silver inquisitively. "How're the knots going, Alicia?"

Scorpius mocked a grin and waved at Velvet.
Allie padded over to Kat and dipped her finger in the paint again, waiting for permission.
Zach just shook his head.
Alicia turned to face her. She seemed to have the whole rope wound around both her hands.
Zach frowned, then pulled on one end and the whole lot fell to the floor.

Velvet ignored him, and stared stonily at the sparring.
Kat nodded slightly, inclining her cheek. "Who's he?"
Silver giggled again, and picked up the rope.

Allie cautiously daubed the flower. "He's Zedo. He's a friend."
Zach blinked at her.

"Oh," Kat smiled at Zedo. "Hi, Zedo."
"I'm being helpful?" Silver smiled, "anyway," she turned to Alicia and Ashlynn, "do you know what this is all about?"
Velvet picked up another axe form the floor, and called to an assistant.
Ivo continued flicking through the list of animals, reciting their names.
Raff ended up on the floor, having been squarely beaten by the assistant, and put the sword back.

Alex looked a little lost and wandered around trying to find Allie.
Naomi headed over to the knot tying station, and fiddled with a bit of rope trying to tie it.

"Hey," Silver smiled at Naomi, "I'm Silver, District 5."

Allie waved at Alex, trying to get his attention.
Ashlynn and Alicia shrugged. "I'm sure its not good if there's weapon training involved..." Ashlynn looked apprehensive.
