The Training Centre

Ashlyn smiled and waved.

Alex smiled "hi," he said shyly hugging Allie again "I'm Alex this is Allie."

"Yo." Alicia nodded after a while, shaking her head to clear it.

Alex looked down at Allie "do you want to say hi?"

Allie shook her head.

"That's okay," Alex looked at the girls "you can go paint."

Raff glared at Scorpius, "where I come from, we were actually taught to be nice to people."
Kat smiled as Jonathan came over to her. "Hey."
Velvet smiled at Halo, "I mean I don't understand the way people think. Or sarcasm. It just doesn't work for me."
Silver smiled at Allie and Alex, giggling at Ashlynn. "This looks fun."
Ivo moved cautiously over to the now almost empty knot tying station.
Fir took Tanzee's hand again, "where do you want to go?"

"Oh, and there I was, thinking you didn't go to school."
"You're still human," Halo shrugged.

"Well you'd be stupid enough to think that wouldn't you?" Raff scowled.
"Yeah, sometimes it doesn't feel like it!" Velvet exclaimed.

"Top grades in the whole history of my district, actually." Scorpius smirked.
Halo shrugged.

"What in? Being an idiot?" Raff glared again, and tossed his hair out of his eyes with a flick of his head.
Velvet scrunched up her nose and tilted her head at him.

"History, Maths, Science and English. Stupidity, as I believe it is called, is your best class."

"Oh no, fighting is my best class." Raff scowled, "And I really hate you."
Velvet turned to Halo, "Would you like to go over to another station?"

Silver strode forward confidently, and took a seat near the head of the table.
Fir took Tanzee's hand and began to lead her towards two adjacent vacant seats.
Raff stood up and threw a last filthy look at Scorpius before moving forward.
Velvet shrugged, and waited for Halo to follow her.
Kat flinched at the siren, then smiled at Allie, and took a step forward, hoping Jonathan would join her.
Ivo awkwardly wandered slowly towards the seats.

Allie yelped and hid behind Alex as the siren wailed.
Zach covered his ears at the loud noise, though his face was still impassive.
Ashlynn and Alicia obeyed the voice over the tannoy, weaving through the stations to be the first to sit down, next to each other and Silver.
Scorpius gave one last glare at Raff before stalking into the Hall.
Halo followed Velvet.

Jonathan looked around at the siren and hurriedly followed Kat to the dining hall.
Alex gave Allie a hug "It's okay, lets go sit down." He lead Allie towards the hall.
Naomi ran after Ashlynn and Alicia "Hey wait for me."
Cinder looked up from the station where she was quietly practicing and followed everyone out.

Alicia pulled out a chair for Naomi.
Allie still huddled behind Alex.

"It's okay Allie," Alex reassured her with one arm around her shoulders.
Naomi sat down and smiled "thanks."

"You're welcome." Alicia smiled.
Allie blinked up at him.

Alex smiled reassuringly at Allie.

"Are we going?" Allie asked.

"Yeah come on or we'll be the last ones here," Alex said giving Allie a quick hug.

Allie smiled and followed him to the table.

Raff sat down in a chair as far away as possible from everyone else, especially Scorpius.
Velvet waited to see where Halo would sit.
Silver smiled at the other three girls. "So, tactics..." she smiled.
Kat sidled along the table keeping close to Jonathan.
Fir smiled at Tanzee, who was sitting next to her. They started to chat.
Ivo took a seat at the end.
